![]() AND another MAJOR advantage is that by using this method you can store the original Master Disk away in a desk drawer for safekeeping. it’s not quite as handy as having two separate activations (one on each computer) but it’s legal and it does work. so now you can carry the second floppy “activation disk” around in your pocket and use it to temporarily activate whichever computer you want to use at the moment. instead, the RSLogix software will recognize the activation file on the floppy “activation disk” and go ahead and run. specifically, you do NOT have to actually MOVE the activation FROM one computer TO another computer each time you want to switch from one computer to another. the basic idea is that you can now plug the new “activation disk” into whichever computer you want to use and the RSLogix software will go ahead and run. this new floppy is then usually called an “activation disk”. the officially recommended way is to move the activation from the original Master Disk to a second floppy disk. what if the original Master Disk gets lost or damaged or something else along those lines?.
